My Room
by Adam Harris

My life is a room a room with no window and one closed door. The door to the world. The world is only a shell of the Universe.
Welcome to the room. I guess the universe is a dream of the man or woman in the room my life is the way I see it in the room.
With four windows and one open door.

Soldiers
by Chrystal Alexander

Many were called up,
Our loved ones,
 Many miles away,
Overseas,
Are where they are at,
Fighting for me and you.
God called them up,
They said yer,
Morn we shall,
Forget not,
For they risk thier lives for us.
They chose to protect us,
They are soldiers of God,
And I support them,
Protest the war if you must,
But don't protest the men and women
fighting for you,
After all they have your back,
But do you have their backs?

Nightmare
by Chrystal Alexander

The worst thing possible happened,
Our neighbors, our friends,
Our family members were struckdown,
We will mourn for them,
But we will never forget them.
It was all over the news,
The screams and shouts,
The tears we all shed,
Innocent people died,
Doing their jobs,
2 planes, 2 towers,
The devils face was shown,
When the second tower fell,
That's the night our nightmare began.

The World Today
by Chrystal Alexander

All I hear is gunshots,
All I hear is bombs going off,
All I hear is screaming,
The news is too violet,
I can not watch it,
I can not imagine someone my age
taking someone else's life,
Ij cannot imagine being an orphan,
I can not imagine what the war is like.
Today becomes more violent than yesterday,
We lose one life every minute,
One daddy, one mother,
One brother, one sister,
One uncle, one aunt
One cousin, one nephew,
One niece, one son, one daughter,
One person cries every minute,
This is the world today.

Days are Sweet

If only I were by his side,
or in his arms. Bitter Sweet memories that is the only thing driving me when he's gone. Gone for a few hours, thought it feels like an eternity.
When he's around I am altoghether. When he's gone I fall apart. Though I rise again to a new era in which I survive. I come for his hand in mine. We rise higher and high. Riding atop cloud nine.
I snuggle close to him, placing my head on his shoulder. There is a slight shock I fell his arms cradled around me. I then I hear him say softly -I love you. I start to blush and whisper-I love you too.
Swett is the air around me as we say goodbye with a gentle kiss. Oh, how sweet days are when love is invovled.

Our Eyes Were Opened September 11

We had felt safe until that dreadful day last September
Terrorist were just in movies or some God forsaken country
Awakened from slumber, Our eyes opened to a harsh reality
Our country brutally attacked, this day we will always remember.
Our lives changed that day forever
Today painfully aware of what we may face.
Brought to our knees in prayer
We look up to God for the only real answer
He will grant us the strength for what we must bear.
On the alert now so this won't happen again
No longer, do we take our freedom for granted
Though satan is very clever
And will use any means whether Osama or Saddam
We will stand firm and united
Still One Nation Under God
And September 11,2001 we will remember
